Here is my take on this entire ordeal, first let's not forget this is the internet, stories will be circling for some time now about #Meek career being over and #Drake ending it, but if you believe that, you are silly. Hip-Hop needs this type of beef, there should be more battles, but the rap game has changed and rappers are a lot softer in my eyes today, where are the battles like Nas & Jay? I like both artist, Meek raps from the heart, you can hear the pain he went th...rough in his tracks, Drake raps about everyday real life situations that almost anybody can relate to and both "ARTIST" crafted their art well. Where is the proof of that? The millions they made, the success they have accomplished. All week we made jokes and laughed, but they both have made money this week, so much money, they most likely made what you work for in a year, in a week. Everyone is saying #Philly is not supporting Meek they way they should and I agree, you can't say Meek is a lame rapper, when just a week ago you were loving him and blasting his tracks riding down the street. That shit fake. But if we have to sit here and decide which artist did it better, I'm going to have to say Drake had way more punchlines, though both to me could have came a bit harder, Drake still roasted Meek better. The battle was like cotton vs feather and cotton won. I feel like Meek has to learn as an artist that learning your opponent is very valuable, because what I heard in his rhyme was everything we had already heard about this week, he used rapper Q, he sweet and soft, all of which we heard. I expected to hear something new about Drake in Meeks punchlines or at least roast his ass like he did him. They need to shake, make up and move on to the next battle, that's Hip-Hop. This internet has changed the game forever. Meek get out of your feelings, Nicki & Drake have a bond, but she loves you and Drake should stop hating and accept the fact that Meek really came from the bottom and snatched his girl.
I would love to see J Cole & Drake battle next and let the battles keep rolling. Get all the artist more involved, bring an old school, new school touch back to the rap game.
I'm not even a rapper but I bet I could have roasted Drake better than Meek, he didn't play enough on his weaknesses, because he didn't know enough.
"I heard stripper poles, leave a nigga with stories untold, secrets of ya laffy taffy ass
making headlines that will force ya to a deadline
now I'm a wifed ass nigga, you right
you still a bouncy ass nigga, don't even have a wife, you flimsy bruh
I'm on cause I'm hot, you only at the top cause you sitting on bitches top, hoe ass nigga, ya bitches put turned you on, you really garbage"
I just toss some shit together, but you get the point, Meek should have really came at his neck a lot harder. That's my take! Your turn?
