![]() John Andrew Andretti (March 12, 1963 - January 30, 2020) will be missed in the racing circle. His 400+ races over the course of 20+ years is nothing short of remarkable. He's also the first driver to compete in the Indianapolis - Charlotte Double. John's no stranger to the circuit as his relatives Mario Andretti (uncle), Michael Andretti (cousin) and Aldo Andretti (father) are well known respected names in the sport. God speed John Andretti, RIP.

![]() Originally I was going to set aside times and dates for posted material here but decided against it. I'm feeling more in the freelance mode than usual and will post once a week rather than 29 days of random cosplayers and superheroes. Black heroes tentatively have gotten roles as sidekicks, cameos or in some cases leading roles with weak plots. Some go straight to the box office while others NetFlix or cable. Titles like Blade, starring Wesley Snipes, have paid off big dividends while CW's Black Lightning is content with its weekly time slot. Oh let us not forget last year's blockbuster Black Panther which broke many records with a virtually unknown cast, kudos! I'm not going to get into the disparaging representation of Oscar nominees among actors/ actresses of color that's a discussion for another day. For now we keep everything light and festive. Happy Black History Month! |
