![]() Another 'awareness/ appreciation' time is upon us and if you're anything like me you are probably somewhat numb to it all. Not the sympathy you would expect from a company? Good at least we have your attention now. I'm not going to give you a guilt trip on why you should support this cause, chances are you've heard about it enough times and may know someone who has it so no need to beat you over the head about it. I only ask for you to get involved in 'something' at least once a yr and make a donation. Hell even if its only $5. Breast cancer, Parkinson's disease, Leukemia or whatever affliction has touched your family or friends these diseases affect us all. If you're a gamer there's even a foundation where you can donate by playing video games, Extra Life. G4R participated in this event a few yrs ago and raised nearly $1k. Lets face it we are seeing more and more awareness/ appreciation events almost on a daily basis. Some are traditional and others are plain silly in my opinion. Lets run down a few shall we? Take your child to work day, National secretary's day, 4/20 weed day, National pet day, National wine tasting day, walk to work day, brown-bagging it day, go topless day, bottomless day (yes these are recognized days too ppl), good neighbor day and so on. Get my point yet? In fact anyone with enough followers can organize a 'National Day' of their liking. All in all I'm just saying take 5mins out of your busy lives during the year and donate something to a cause that interests you. Silly or not at least you can feel good about yourself at the end of the day knowing you made a difference in something you care about. Breast cancer would be nice but if not... all good. Your donation means you're active and have a voice and that my friends speak volumes. G4R will be featuring a 'donation' button within the week and you can make us your one-stop donation center. Send a donation along with where you want it to go and we'll make sure it gets there. You will be credited along with an email and confirmation pic showing transaction. We're doing this in awareness of Breast Cancer month nothing more, nothing less. If you want to donate to our site that's ok too. Please denote which foundation its going to when making donations, thanks. -James Team G4R
