Jaron Baylor local B'more baller turning heads. As a fellow Baltimore resident what good is running a company if you can't support local talent? G4R has mentioned him before on our pages but now that he's a senior getting ready for college it's more important than ever to spotlight this young man. At 5'9 he's showing skills larger than much bigger guys.. I see a promising future for Mr. Baylor and G4R would be dropping the ball if not getting the inside scoop on this phenom. King of the 5 question interview G4R recently caught up to him and his latest endeavors, here we go!

G4R: Where ya from and what High School you go to?
Jaron Baylor (JB): I'm from Baltimore, Maryland I go to Forest Park Senior High School

G4R: At 5'9 you play bigger than most guys at position what's your motivation to excel?
JB: My motivation to excel is I look at every situation I'm put in as a blessing nothing is a disadvantage.. make my height an advantage on speed definitely defense against taller point guards they hate crossing over when a person is smaller and if I dip my shoulder a scoop layup is hard to block at my size.

G4R: Vid below is nice, what goes through your mind when putting up a shot?
JB: I don't really think when I shoot because I've been shooting a basketball my whole life its just repetition I believe in myself, trust my abilities.

G4R: G4R has seen a few of your training vids and applaud your work ethics.. any advice to young'uns following in your footsteps?
JB: I work hard because I have talent but they say hard work beats talent and its a lot of people that got the work ethic but talent is slowly growing. If I mix the talent with the hard work its no limit on my future, I set the standards. Advice I would give to the younger ones is time is short so whatever you doing make sure you go your hardest.. most definitely school because it will catch up with you. High school is very fun but very easy to slip up on I had to stop being a clown myself and focus up and tell my friends when they were skipping school like no I'm staying. They might tease you but if they don't support they not real friends and be the example for your friends and family once you start doing good you could motivate others.

G4R: Every great man has a supportive woman behind him, is there a lady in your life?
JB: Don't go searching for a woman while you're young let situations involving women come to you enjoy life a little bit first. I've been with a girl since 9th grade I'm going into my senior year and never publish your business relationship status and the things yall do behind closed doors. If your woman isn't willing to help you improve your grades and she tries to harass you to do things that could affect your grades or opportunities for success.. she isn't the one for you. My woman always keep on top of me with school work, basketball and timing with when and how I should do things.

There you have it words from Jaron himself. He continues to impress us with his mentality and drive  especially the importance of school. (Will make sure my nieces read this -Ed.) In this era of social media its easy to get derailed from your dreams while trying to be popular with your peers, often times not in your best interest. Sure part of the fun of being a teen is goofing off and making mistakes but to have the mindset to stay focused on whats important speaks volumes about his character. Kudos Mr. Baylor! Would love to hear from some of your coaches and mentors in the future too. Save us a court side seat when drafted to the NBA! Staff at G4R look forward to featuring you many more times in your prosperous journey. Podcast interview in the works.
