... No it's Superman! George Reeves, the Mack Daddy of them all, is on deck and leads the foray. Not that we're keeping score but a lot of kids have tied a towel around their neck while flying around the house beating down make believe Bizarros. Let's face it there weren't too many characters with a cape kids could emulate. Well Batman was also a fave but couldn't fly nor was he bullet proof.
Anyway our cosplayer of the month was cosplaying before it was the 'in' thing to do. Wait... is it possible to cosplay while not cosplaying? Hmm quite the conundrum (look it up, it can be puzzling). George Reeves was the man. No body-builder training regiment or steroid induced muscles. Just a man, his tights and a 6-ft running start before flying away. To the minions of followers Mr. Reeve, we salute you... cheers!
Luke Cage 1/4 Defender 1/2 Heroes for Hire and 100% badazz. This cosplayer is the best Luke Cage we've come across so far. Check out his Instagram account and when all is said and done give him a follow. Quick trivia for our Cage aficionados 'What is Luke Cage's alternate name?' No Googling ppl and... Go!
Note: To date we have not identified the Iron Man cosplayer.
Finally, Cosplay is here! What's not to love about children and adults dressing up as their favorite characters. G4R has posted pics of these unique people before but never dedicated an entire page solely for this genre. When children do it, its called Halloween but when adults do it, its called Cosplay... can't figure that one out. Depending who you ask will determine what your definition of Cosplay is. Here are some examples:
Wikipedia: a portmanteau of the words costume play, is a performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character.
Google: the practice of dressing up as a character from a movie, book, or video game, especially one from the Japanese genres of manga and anime.
G4R: to dress up and portray a character, preferably one you like.
Based in Baltimore and 20 mins from Washington DC, G4R is fortunate enough to see these creative artists multiple times a year via convention centers. Oh the young lady in the pic was one G4R interviewed a few years back, Felicia Dussault (Darkarnival Butler). Very meticulous when it come to her costumes, beautiful personality and all around joy to interview. Sadly we forgot the gentleman's name but will update this article when we find it.
