Reviews and Ratings Gone?

Here's where we are undecided on the topic of games. Reviewing and rating games has been done a thousand times over and there's only so many ways to reinvent the wheel. It's not like a decade or so ago where people subscribed to game magazines or hung around vid stores to get the latest intel on what's hot or not. In this era of instant gratification all you need is 2 ingredients... a phone and social media. This may be the end of reviews and ratings but not gaming. We're die hard life long gamers, that will never change. Currently we're kicking ideas around to see what turns up and a couple of them may come to fruition. Heck, if you have an idea we would love to hear it!
